We can test a java web service using SoapUI  Membrane SOAP Client and other Graphical User Interfaces .So Download it from the below link.
Download SoapUI .

Install the SoupUI in your local/remote  machine to test the Java Web Service.

The below  example Service already created in the previous session . Click the link to see the Example [HellowWorldService Java Web Service  Example].

In the Example , it contains one method (Hellow) which is taking one argument (name) .

Now we are going to test the above service using the SoapUI .

 

 

How to test a Java Web Service using SoapUIStep 1 : Open SoapUI and go to File menu . From the drop down list , select New SOAP Project.

 

 

How to test a Java Web Service using SoapUI Step 2 : Enter the WSDL URL (Location of the WSDL file) in the Initial WSDL text box. It will take the Project Name automatically. Click OK button .

How to test a Java Web Service using SoapUI Step 4 : If you click the Request 1 menu from the above screen , it will open the request window as follows .

 

 

How to test a Java Web Service using SoapUI Step 5 : Enter the value to <arg0> (Which means , the operation is taking one String parameter ).

 

 

How to test a Java Web Service using SoapUI Step 6 : Click the run (Green button ) button to make a request to the web Service . After request process , the service sends response back to the client as a XML document.
